So I found this little gem at the dollar general for only $3. Being as I am a bookaholic, it’s hard for me to turn down a mystery novel that’s so low priced! I should warn you though, this is the 6th book in the A Cat In The Stacks Mystery series. But, don’t worry you don’t need to have read any of the other books to enjoy this one.

Arsenic and Old Books centers around the discovery of a collection of diaries dating back to the civil war. This collection would become the center of political mug slinging, theft and murder.
This page turner kept me engaged thoroughly. Charlie and his sidekick Diesel provided plenty of giggles while still remaining serious enough to keep me focused. I would give Miranda James a 5/5 stars for this book and I look forward to reading more of her work.
